baby onesie cupcake tutorial {and a sweet giveaway}

Our sweet friend Melynie has a new Etsy shop and we're so excited about it! This talented girl has shared tutorials here in the past, like her perfect picture collage hanging tips, spooky Halloween banner, and her gorgeous fall mantel ideas. But this tutorial takes the cake. So read on, then stick around so we can share all the sweet creations from her shop, Life Is So Delicious, including a great giveaway and a coupon for the shop!

Baby Sweet Shoppe: Onesie Cupcake Tutorial

Need a cute baby shower idea? Here's a fun way to package those baby essentials--make some cupcakes! For this project you'll need:
  • 4 receiving blankets
  • 4 onesies
  • 4 medium rubber bands
  • 4 medium rubber bands
  • 4 coffee filters
  • thin coordinating ribbon
  • scissors
  • a bakery cupcake box (I found mine at Packaging Specialties)

First, fold the receiving blankets down until you have a 3" strip.

Now for the cupcake icing. Lay a onesie over your fist, and poke it down.

Then pinch the top and gather it together.

Lay the icing at the end of the receving blanket and roll it up.

Roll it all the way up, moving down as you go so that the top is peaked.

Wrap it with a rubber band to secure it.

Place it in a coffee filter "wrapper."

    Tie it closed with ribbon.

Repeat all the steps again for more cupcakes.

Place them in the bakery box.

If you want, tie it with bakery string and add a cute tag!

Hungry now (either for cupcakes or babies)?

    ***

Are you dying over these? I told you! Now for the really declicious part. Melynie is giving away a set of 16 of her gorgeous custom note cards to one of our readers! I love her fonts and the rounded corners.

    125. A new born baby is a heavenly gift given to the parents by the god. A baby comes in this world along with heavenly delight and joy for his or her parents, relatives and neighbors. Celebration of the event of the birth of a baby is usually done by gifting the baby and parents. But it is really tough to find a gift that will be perfectly suitable for the baby. Baby Gifts are always useful in these situations.
